There is an essay named "Zen in the art of writing" by Ray Bradbury.
Has anyone read it?
It is partly about the individual voice of the writer and believing in what you write or vice versa.
I agree that DK is "a humble, well adjusted nice guy" but I believe his personality, world view and his past echoes in his works in a very interesting and sometimes in a very transparent way. We may go into details of this in the future.
What I want to ask is; all works of art are personal products and surely reflects the worldview of its creator but shouldn't the messages, the subtext etc be more subtle?
Ignorance is bliss.

Well, maybe my ego is really big and I like to read an author who shares my life views. LOL

I think he's evolving like he said in a recent video interview that Breezit posted here. He said "I'm not 25yo anymore." I like that he stays true to his own voice.

I'll go check out that interview now about FTCoHE and get myself all hot under the collar.
I'm inclined to believe in parallel worlds filled with dark bound Snow and Odd adventures.

I don't want to be misunderstood. I just love his works and him as a writer.
I am 42 now and he is one of a very few writers that can still make me paranoid or that can bring the tears to my eyes.
People of our generation are mostly immune to the tricks used in mainstream literature and TV or movie scripts that used to be so effective on the previous generations.
But DK continues to thrill.
As much as we criticize him I believe no one can deny that we are writing in this forum because of our love for his individual style, his unique voice.
Ignorance is bliss.
