Sometimes I have these episodes ill b really happy and then all of a sudden ill just get REALLY depressed, i feel really anxious and paranoid and it seems like all my problems and all my loved ones problems just come crashing down around me.  Then like an hour or 2 l8r itll just go awy and ill b ok again.  In the meantime tho, i feel like hurting myself sometimes.  Iv tried cutting myself bfore but i can never get the courage 2 cut deep.  Then i feel even worse cuz i feel i cant even do tht rght. I am so weak, these episodes just overwhelm me an i dont kno how 2 stop them, how can i make myself stronger and not so cowardly about everythng?

I'd say you are confused as something is going on and you do'nt know what to do.

whenever you think about whatever is happening, you will feel bad. then later when you are doing something else you will feel ok.

whatever it is the problem is, it won't be solved by cutting yourself.

just relax, and think: will I still have this problem in ten years time? unlikely.

eek... i didn't know you had a problem like this, I wish i could help...
my best attempt at advice is figure out what it is that causes so much pain and do whatever you have to to stop it from hurting you so much, but then agin i haven't done that great of a job of solving my own problems, so maybe listening to me isn't the best idea...
p.s. i want my sharp pointy back

Hang on !!!  These feelins of being overwhelmed are totally 'normal'  for people with depression.  They come at you like an ocean wave. The tide goes back out eventually.  You have to learn that when the waves come crashing in you must use this time to take extra good care of your soul. Find something, anything.... that gives you peace or comfort and use it like a tool to get you through. Fill your 'toolbox' with as many things as possible and you can make it through each onset of waves. Remember.... you are stronger than you feel.  People with depression take more strength to get through an average day than most people use on their worst days.
