This was by far my FAVORITE DK novel. It has a certian magic to it that keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat flipping page after page unable to set this book down. This is a MUST READ for all DK fans.

Good book, hell great book. This is currently my favorite Dean Koontz book. In fact the only bad thing that came out of this book is the movie that is very very loosely based on it. And I mean very loosely. The movie is probably one .01% accurate to the book if even that. The few characters from the book that even made it to the movie are nothing like their book versions. Travis is a teenager and Nora is his mother. Einstein is only called Fur Face (Ok that I can over look) The worst of all. Lem was changed into the villain of the movie. Now I realize that movies take liberties from the books they are based on but in Watchers case I doubt the screen writer even looked at the book. Hell it is just some random 80’s monster flick with a smart dog added in and characters having the same names as the book but being nothing alike. Ok enough ranting about the Movie the book was perfect. Never has a story dragged me in until the end like Watchers has. It is by far my favorite DK book as of yet. Watchers the book four out of four Watchers the movie –four out of four. Funny that my favorite book is also my most hated movie. |
