Great book. I might have enjoyed it more than I really would have if I hadn't just read it after reading one of Koontz's worst books. I love Einstein, but Orson is still better. I can see why most people put this in their top 5, because it is in mine. It has a lot of action and a core villian, and also another factor called the Outsider. It is different than I expected, but great nonetheless. I enjoyed reading about every set of characters and how they all effected eachother as well.

I thought this was definatly one of his best! I absolutly loved it! I feel in love with Enstine. I aslo felt sorry for the Outsider. At the end, I just wanted to give him a big hug. He was just so alone. the charecters were wonderful, and the ending was great! I didn't really like Vince, and he just didn't seem to fit. But other than that I give it *****.

Watchers was definitely the most interesting and, overall, best book Koontz has written. Suspenseful, intriguing, and lovable characters, this book exhibits Koontz's ability as an author. Four out of four stars in my books!

just finished re-reading Watchers. this was my first and hook book of DK's. i had forgotten just HOW MUCH i love that dog. shame on me. one thing that really jumped out at me this time through was the way Vince died. He's looking up at Travis (who is on the deck) and says "Look at me! I am your worst nightmare!" and Travis says "Not even close" and blows his head off. i thought that was a great tough-guy ending. i almost cheered for Travis having a good punch line rather than all the cheesy puns you get from the movies in general. any way. this was five stars the first time i read it, and id give it six now if i could.
