I've read all of the Chronicles. The first 5 are by far the best, though the two novellas/New Tales were AMAZING!!

Honestly I really wasn't a fan of any of the Mayfair books. But they were given to me so I read them all.

They are separate stories but in the same universe so to speak of the Vampire books. In the later Vampire books, some of teh characters from the Witch books show up, which leads to Blood Canticle, where Vampire Lestat gets all caught up in the Mayfair witch saga.

The Witching Hour I liked, but Lasher and Taltos I thought were really dreadful books. Blood Canticle, though boasted as the final Vampire book,is really the concluding chapter of the Mayfair Witch cycle.
