Well, the Taking was the first Dean Koontz I read, and I loved it.

Now, in my opinion the Taking was a great book, speaking as a reader that has read all but 2 of his books i like the implications of his later books, the message so to speak. from the corner of his eye, and the taking are some of his best work. this is coming from a guy who loves lightning and strange highways as well as door to december, whispers and odd thomas.

Hello, Newbie to this forum here...

I myself loved "The Taking". I was so entranced by his descriptions and his senses. I loved it. In fact I love all his books, it's hard to choose a favorite.

I think the covering in the end was the greater force. It was led to believe the whole book was about aliens but in fact it was about good vs. evil. The second Noah. That's in my opinion...lol

Good to see all of you Koontz fans!

I don't know if I am crazy or i just haven't read enough of the book yet. I've read five Dean Koontz books so far, and loved all of them. I am reading "The Taking" at the moment and it isn't really grasping me like his other books, such as "Odd Thomas", "intensity", or "soul survivor" Of course i am only about 150 pages into the book so maybe it will get better... i hope.
Nothing interferes with my concentration. You could put an orgy in my office and I wouldn't look up. Well, maybe once.
