Holy crap!! This was a great book. This was my first time through the book and you can't get much better than this. This is one of Koontz's best books ever written, and that surprises me because his older ones are great, but not this great. I would have never guessed anything that was going on, just pure great plotting. The characters were some of the best to 'be around'. I give this a perfect 5 stars and can't see giving it anything else according to my personal likes. The situations and scenarios Susan was put through were amazing to read!!!!

I actually picked up a copy of this as first edition paperback in the Leigh Nichols pseudonym at a local library for 99 cents.

Loved, loved, loved this book.My opinion of what was happening changed back and forth throughout the whole story. DK kept me second guess myself the whole time. Loved the characters in this book. I would love to see another book following Susan.

Okay I have to ask this question. Without telling me a whole lot about this book, can you tell me if it ever gets any better? I started reading this book about two weeks ago. I read about 10 pages and was like Damn this is sooooooooooooooo boring reading. So I picked up The Husband book and read that in 2 1/2 days I believe. I picked up House of Thunder again and read like 2 or 3 more pages, then was feeling the same way, boring still. So I picked up the Good Guy, read the first 3 chapters and felt bad. It wasn't that book that was bothering me, I felt I needed to finish House of Thunder before going onto another Koontz book. So I been trying to read it. I have read now over 70 pages. I just found out what the House of Thunder is and what happened there with Susan's boyfriend(fiance?). But does the book get any better in the next say 50 pages??? I really hope so.

I don't know if it really gets better. I actually liked the book up until the end, which I thought fell apart.
