<FONT face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" color=black size=3>This book kinda bored me at first, but deeper in the book (around pages 150 through 250) it actually got really really good. This is a book that i could probably read again. wierd though, if anyone has seen the recent movie "the forgotton" this book is much like it just with a little different setting.

This book was originally published in 1981 under the pen name Leigh Nichols.

Short synopsis:

One year after her little boy Danny dies, his mother swears that she sees him in a stranger's car, and becoming obsessed with the mystery, she journeys to Las Vegas and the High Sierras in search of the truth.

hmmm...I personally have never heard of this book.  Is must be an older book??  So it is a lot like the movie Forgotten with Julianne Moore?  I thought that was a pretty good movie, kinda weird (but in a good way)

I didnt think that many people have heard of this one. thats why i didnt see it on here. I think it is a 80s book. i believe koontz remade it from one of the books that he made with a pen name. I believe that it was better than the movie though, just a different setting and different forces that are in control. but much like the woman who didnt believe her son was gone or dead.

It is one that he put out with a pen name then rereleased later. It's been awhile since I've read it so I don't remember much about it-other than that her son is suppose to be dead but she keeps seeing signs that he's alive.

Just finished the book a couple of days ago, and it was fantastic. Why don't people talk about this book more often. So many loveable characters. The ending seemed different than most of his books, I thought they got through everything too easily, but that actually was a neat thing, that the good guys actually had it nice and easy and you expect something bad to happen to them. I expecially liked how Elliot Stryker's law people were all named after DK's pen names.
