I just finished the book Cross. Very good book. First JP book I have read.
The question I have is where did little Ali come from? Jannie was a little baby and she had just told Alex she was pregnant when she was killed. A couple of chapters later, he has THREE kids.
Confusing!

Thanks!!!

I've stopped reading Patterson because he is terrible, but I believe I can answer your question.

Ali is his wife, she died before the series even started. He's probably having a flashback or it's important to that book. It explains it in earlier books.

CROSS is the most recent book in the Alex Cross series, and Snowman is right about the flashback. Although he's too hard on Patterson, his books are mostly good fun.

You're killing me, breezit.

I've read 10 of his books, I think that is good enough.

You're better than me snowman, I read three I believe, and just couldn't stomach anymore. I do understand why they appeal to people in that they are very fast-paced, but they achieve that pace at the expense of things like characterization, detail, setting, depth. That bare-bones style seems lazy to me, because you can have a fast pace AND an in-depth story without two-page chapters if you work at it, but Patterson seems to take the easiest way out. Which is his perogative, it just isn't something I can respect.
