and why doesn't earth keep falling in the endless void of space. Rules of gravity and inertia

the suns gravitational pull keeps it in orbit.

that's what I meant, but why wouldn't the sun fall eventually?

Well, technically that's a rule of gravity and there is little no gravity in space.

the sun is stationary. the earth travels around the sun. just like molecules travel around a nucleus.

That is precisely what I was gonna ask. It's not like there is some big 'general gravity' out there. And there is no floor with which to use Pauls Theorum.

exactly. What if everything in existense is falling right now, and will never stop, or possibly could be falling in a huge loop, like on a computer program.

but if it's all falling at a fixed rate, in a way it would all stay in the same relative positions... so then it's like it never moves.
