How about a more vague topic like Schools and Education.

how about you start a topic in general chat or somewhere like that to get feedback. i don't think you're going to find enough people here to talk about the subject to warrant starting a whole forum. but if you had questions/issues you wanted to talk about i'm sure you'd get some answers.

i think the original subject, colleges, is a good idea. it can be used toanswer questions about other colleges, going to a new college, or academics that pertain to certain subjects. could be a very informative forum.

i have a master's in educational counseling and have done many presentations on college admissions, financial aid, etc. so if she's in need of that sort of advice, i'm here.

are you looking at school's far away or are you going to stay close enough to home to come visit often?

well if you go to a public college in your same state, it generally costs less and would make it easier for you to visit home when you want to.

if you're really concerned about moving away, you might consider going your first couple of years at a community college. then you could still live at home, while earning credits toward a degree. but honestly from stuff you've said in the dating forum it sounds like it would be good for you to go off to school and make a fresh start.

it would be nice to have a fresh start. a place where no one knows me and that they don't know my past.
