Whats your opinion on the Martha Stewart Case?
Do you believe she did unfair stock trades? And if you do, what do you think should happen to her?
Do you believe she'll just be released like every other rich criminal?

I think she probably did it, but I have tuned out most of the info. on it. Whatever the case is I think she's a b****.

why do you think shes a bitch? i mean, shes one of the most successful women ever. yeah, she didnt do to well with her daughters, but hell, half of american women watched her daily.
and even yet, it was such a small amount of money involved in this case. what was it? 400,000 something dollars?

She did it, without a doubt. They should put her away to show that even celebrities aren't invincible to the system. It will stop some complaining about celebrities getting away with things just becuase they are known.

You gotta also think too, if it was you, and your first offense, they probably would give you maybe 5-10 years probation, and a ban from stock trading. people nowadays get away with murder with only 6 months probation, some with even 30 hours community service. The government needs a new structure.
And when i say 400,000 dollars is such a small amount, i mean it was a small amount to her. ;)
and sure, if she's guilty, put her away. but i wanna see some hardcore evidence and details about the case before i make my decision.

going from my own experience with the court system they wouldnt have hung me or you so quick. the prosecutor needs concrete evidence before he can make his case. they have he-said-she-said hearsay. maybe a tid of evidence, but nothing that will convict her.

i say she's a bitch because i've heard that she is very nasty to many of the people around her. i really don't care if it was a small amount of money to her that was involved. i also don't doubt that insider trading is a fairly common thing and she is being singled out to some extent. but if she did it, she did it and should be punished just like anyone else.

Who gives a sh*t? I have great respect for her, she is one of the smartest people out there, she made it good on wallstreet, that alone deservs plenty of respect. Sure, she took a little dough, but it was from a huge company who didn't need it that bad. So she knows a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who works for some company, and the price of whatever is going to drop real far, so she dumps it now. I would do the same thing.

well, obviously the company needed it if the company went bankrupt.

lol, she'll be able to pay really easily.
4 counts (all counts) have been found guilty. and now there gonna take her assistant down and her broker down.
reminds me of a local case here.
dude was driving a vehicle under a suspended license, girl was snowmobiling and ran in front of him, he fled the scene with her still attached to the plow for a half a mile, then let her go. he ran, then came back.
now there going after his wife for letting him drive knowingly under a suspended licence. you should read our papers here, his family and her family are going at it through the newspapers... serious fighting calling eachother dumb and stupid ;)
each family is blaming the other family/girl ;(
sad sad story. girl was young ;(
