The old sticky was getting cluttered so I'm making this one so everyone can find the next batch of picks. Is there a September pick yet or do we need to get on that?

If someone picked a McCammon book I'd read, I would reread it with the group. It's probably the only motivator for rereading it anyway. I always keep books thinking I'll read them again, but rarely get to.
Are we still on the same page?

I seem to remember the guys talking about it so when I saw the sequel - Reliquary for 50 cents I grabbed it, now I have to find Relic.

Has the read for September been picked?
Is it Houses w/out Doors? I'll go look for it if it is.

Here's some more suggestions:

CRYPOTONOMICON - Neal Stephenson
NEUROMANCER - William Gibson
THE HOUNDS OF MORRIGAN Pat O'Shea
SNOWCRASH - Neal Stephenson
SEPULCHRE - James Herbert
NO SECOND CHANCE - Harlan Coben

Have any of ya'll read Douglas Clegg's The Attraction?

I finished it today, was a little suprised it wasn't the whole book. I was expecting alot more. The second part is part of the Harrow stories called The Necromancer, is this worth reading? I put it down after I finished The Attraction so I could start The Drawing of the Three.

I came across an interesting sounding book today "Comes a Horseman" by Bob Liparulo. Anyone read this? It has great reviews over at the Canadian Amazon site - amazon.ca
It sounds like it has a Christian spin, it's a detective novel with 2 FBI agents as lead characters.
I wasn't even aware there was a genre called "Christian thrillers".

Okay...I'm gonna start Phantom Nights today (I've got so many books on deck that I better read this now) I have never read an Anne Rice book (though it's not cause of a lack of trying ! I just could never get into her stuff) but would be willing to give it another go with you guys.

Christian Thriller. There is no book on earth as thrilling as The Holy Bible, my friends. Every story is lesson. Every picture tells a story. Creation, the fall, the resurrection, and everything in between.
Has anyone else here read it cover-to-cover?

I've read it, Gene...but it's been a long time, and I don't remember specific passages.

My parents got me a copy when I was a pre-teen and told me it was totally up to me whether or not I read it. I read bits and pieces here and there, then decided, when I was around 20, to read the whole thing, start to finish.

That's impressive. I read it after about 50 novels on the exercycle...wanted to know all the Bible Stories. I got those and a WHOLE lot more.

Would anyone care to list the next few months group reads so I can be on the look-out for them?
Thanks

We decided on Phantom Nights by John Farris for December and after that we have nothing picked.

I was thinking it would be interesting to post a poll with a few suggestions then have people vote for a change??? Maybe we could sticky it for a couple weeks?

Any ideas?

Did anyone decide whether we would do a vote for February? I liked Patti's idea of the poll.
