I've pointed out to my kids how others act out in public and told them that that is not good behavior. Now that they see it they don't act that way.
I only had to take them out of some place a couple of times and put them in the car, they didn't like being in there so the tantrums stopped pretty quick. My son was the one that threw the most fits but even still not that much.

The other thing that bothers me is when I tell my kids that their behavior is wrong or to stop doing something they know they aren't supposed to do and someone says "oh, that's ok". Well, no it really isn't. It tells my kids that they don't have to listen to what I tell them to do.

Yeah...I don't tolerate that. Neither does my wife. My wife likes to tell friends/family, "When you've pushed them out of your (any number of words from "body" to use your imagination) then you can tell my kids what they can and can't do!"

My girls parents are notorious for this, they go visit them for the weekend well behaved and come back demons!!
They get to do anything they want there, eat whatever they want, im talking cookies and chips for frigan breakfast!!!
Iv been slowly trying to put a stop to it but i get no suport from the in-laws, we would be over there and the girls would start acting up and talking back and id put them in the corner...so what does grandma do, "this is my house and they dont have to listen to you, now come here baby" I swear, i never thought a 3 year old could give a haha Fuc* you look....grandma and grandpa didnt C them for three monthes after that....

I was going to say. I'd be packing up the kids and heading home after that. Actually I'd probably go one step further and say what I was thinking aswell, "if you ever want to seem them again you'll start respecting my authority".
