LSU is the real deal. And I'm not talking them up simply as a way of downplaying how overrated Notre Dame has been this year as a total football team. LSU can play, man. Their QB is awesome, their recievers are abolute studs, and their D gets it done.

How do you compete with that? Well, for starters, you don't go into the half after a nearly tied game and just decide to comletely give up. Don't fool yourselves, The Irish are a good team. They've won a lot of regualr season games and I don't want to hear about how their schedule is easy. Notre Dame volun-freaking-teers to travel and play Michigan and USC every year. That takes cajones, no matter how you look at it, and normally they are good enough to stay on the field with those teams.

But when ESPN.com writes and article titled, "LSU exposes Irish in historic Sugar Bowl loss," then I guess you pretty much have to admit that they got their butts whipped and it was embarrassing. What else can I say, I mean really? The Fighting Irish have lost their last nine Bowl games in a row. Winning during the year is great, pile up those wins, I love it. But please oh please, pretty please, can you just win a freaking bowl game for once?

That's it. That's all I've got. I've had it with football for a little while.

When does baseball start?

LSU is an SEC team, and SEC teams will always fight hard. Seems Tennessee had the same problem, they gave up after a tied half-time game.

You still have the Giants, though they are playing my Eagles, so I guess there isn't much hope there.

Notre Dame is currently down 16-0 at the half against Georgia Tech.

But they haven't looked terrible.

Not that I really know what to expect--nor does anyone since there is no Jeff Zamarja or Brady Quinn.

I can only hope that Coach Charlie keeps their heads above water long enough to formulate some coherent game plan and lets them figure things out.

Michigan lost as expected. Overrated non-SEC teams.

Okay, keep your SEC rants going. That doesn't change my status as an Irish fan.

Michigan's coach is a piece of crap. I love it!

ND looked a little sloppy today, but not really bad. I think they'll be able to pull something together before too long.

Either that or I'm just a clueless diehard fan...
