Watching the Giants these days is like watching two trains coming down the same track. One of the trains is moving quickly, is slick and well-oiled machinery designed to be effective and dominant. The other train is squeaky, whiny, starts and stops irregularly and looks like it could just suddenly up and fall apart at any minute, a la the cop car at the end of THE BLUES BROTHERS MOVIE:

But any real NFL fan will live and die with his or her team. Sure, fantasy sports have complicated things for many people, and some are more concerned with betting than if their team plays like a sketch of the Three Stooges. But football is Football, and even when it looks like my G-Men are going to bite the dust for the rest of the year and turn into the Miami Dolphins right before my eyes, I will be a Giants fan first. Everything else about football comes second or later.

So let's hope, for their sakes, that they get their act togethor and start playing like a playoff-caliber NFL Team, or else I'm coming to the Meadowlands to have a chat with Tom Coughlin personally. Locked and Loaded.

Yes! It's 21-0 G-Men at halftime, and Snowman's Titans are not exactly making it difficult. This is exactly what we need: a pick-me-up after last week to put Eli & Co. back into a winning rhythm.

Not only that, but I was right on about Brandon Jacobs; he already has two rushing touchdowns, one after a fumble recovery by the Giants. I am looking like a genius for picking him up off the waiver wire and starting him over Deuce MacAllister.

But then again, these are the Giants, so I should hold my gob until the game is over...

It was a good thing the forums weren't working properly (I don't really mean that) this weekend, because I didn't have to come back and finish putting my foot all the way in my mouth after that last post.

What a meltdown. All of the "Titanic" references are absolutely correct. The G-Men are sunk. I bet Coughlin gets fired.

And Vince Young is haunting me. Guy beats Notre Dame last year for USC, and I thought I'd heard that last of him. Then he comes around and blasts a cap in the Giants butt and pretty much ruins their season. I hate that guy. I better draft him early for my fantasy team next year.

Wow, could America possibly be blessed with another no-win Manning weekend? Film at 11
Ask me about DEAN KOONTZ Forum T-shirts. Cool.

What, exactly, do you have against the Mannings? Did they beat you up or something? Key your car? What's up with that?

Eli just doesn't have the kind of command that a QB in the NFL needs to have. I don't think he's long for the Giants, but of course what I'm afraid of is that he will go to another team and turn into a perennial pro-bowler. That would bother me, but not as much as the fact that we gave up so much for him when we could have just as easily stuck with Phillip Rivers and came out on top. That's more irritating that anything, but hindsight is always 20/20.
