Hi all

Would appreciate some advice concerning my dream. I went to sleep with the intention to discover whether a musical theory I came up with yesterday had any merit. My theory was an amalgamation of 2 existing theories, creating a 3rd theory. I wanted to know whether I could make this theory work for me.

In the dream I was in what seemed like the distant future. The people were trying to recall/celebrate their past, and had this kind of festival. I was present at the festival. A man played some music on a sound system, and like in real life, I not only heard the music (very clearly) but also felt it vibrating my body (again, very clearly). The music seemed all "wrong". I told the man to stop playing it, because it was an "idiot sound". I still have a very clear recollection of the sound. The music stopped. With some people in the crowd, I went through these stalls at the festivities, and was shown an ancient instrument, marked "harpsichord" but it was not harpsichord. It was a xylophone built into a piano case. When a man hit the lowest notes on this instrument, I could hardly hear anything, but when I put my ear to the instrument case it was a massive vibration. When he played the upper notes, he used a technique I recognised, but I wasn't so hot on the resulting sound.

What can this mean? Thanks
