christophersnow - you should really read alex cross in order, not only are they excellent suspense and crime books, but they also build the charachter and family of alex cross.

Then I will do that. Didn't realize that they were a series. Just as I didn't realize the Chris Snow books were a series until I finished the second one. Thanks for telling me before I started on them.

do you need to read the 10 cross books in their correct order? do all the stories continue on from each other?

Sad but true I started the Alex Cross series somewhere in the middle so I had to go back and read some others I was handed Roses are Red along with Violets are Blue and I gave them a try. Alex Cross is a really awsome cop. I will eventually read the rest. In between DK that is.

It is not a necessity to read them in order as they are stand alone novels, yet on the other hand you really get a great feel for the characters if you start at the beginning and work your way through book by book.
