Lost Manual.

I need to know the oil-to-gas mixing ratio.  Help Please, anyone?

use a 40:1 mix. 32:1 was the original engine manufacturers recommendation, but with the newer ways oil is refined you can go leaner than the oems recommendations. i would not go any leaner than 50:1 tho. there should be a decal on the body or it should be printed on the gas cap if it is a 2 stroke. and i'm sure it is cuz jacobsen didnt make many full sized blowers. and if the gas cap is red in color, it definetly is a two stroke. you can look up a tecumseh engine manual for the 1538 model series, which is probably the engine yours has cuz it is the most popular two stroke used in the older snowblowers, and that will have the oil mixture for that engine.

Thank you donp for helping a damsel in distress.  There is no decal or other markings except "See owner's manual" so I'll use 45:1 (it's a lot of teaspooning tho.....

Seasons greetings from snowy Ottawa, Canada.
