I also hated when they started deciding to always release the Halloween films during the summer to try to up the box office; I felt it actually hurt box office. Because to me, I remember when the Halloween films came out in the fall around Halloween, and the whole atmosphere really put me in the mood to go see the film. It just isnt' the same in the summer.

That used to be my thing when I was younger, going to the theater at midnight on Halloween to see the newest slasher.
Also I tend to go to the movies more often in the fall and winter, spring and summer are the times of the year not to sit on your butt. By the way do children really need to be ruining this movie. It would be nice for it to be released when all of the kids are in school. I think this book is a bit too grown up for kids under 10. (I know I will not be taking mine to it.) The movie industry has just gone to s*#t these days so what can you expect from them. Let's just hope they actually do finish the other 2 movies. |

I'm tired of them thinking every big movie has to be crammed into summer. I mean, there is so much more competition during that time period. I think some films really do well by coming out when there aren't a lot of other highly anticipated films out at the same time.

I am mostly disappointed because the last 3 movies we saw in the theater sucked real bad. Hulk, Prince Caspian ,and Indiana Jones.
I was looking forward to this real bad. |

Though not perfect movies, I enjoyed all three of those. The Incredible Hulk was many times better than the 2003 Ang Lee film. Indiana Jones was over the top, but the few really over the top moments were overshadowed by the great cast.
