after much thought, i’ve decided to sell…. not worth it to me to spend $ and put parts in it, get it restored, and never ride it. its a 1978 maxi, one speed, 2200 miles, with clear title. excellent condition for a ‘78, very little rust on handlebars, wheels, etc etc. frame is rust free, and factory paint is still somewhat shiny. needs chain guards and luggage rack. the engine is disassembled, cleaned, and awaiting parts. engine needs a crank, and crank bearings & seals. it did run when i took it apart, but had a nasty rattle, which was the magneto flopping around on the end of the crank. i was planning on rebuilding it regardless, but, up to the person who buys it. i’m in illinois, and unless someone just needs parts, i wont ship it. |
