Feast of All Saints, Cry to Heaven, The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy, Exit to Eden, Belinda--early in her career, Anne switched up writing horror novels with these historical romance-heavy novels and erotica novels. Along the way, she stopped doing that--I suspect because they didn't sell as well--and I always thought she made a mistake, because some of these I thought were among her finest works. Particularly Cry to Heaven and Feast of All Saints. I don't really see any love for these novels on this board. Am I the only one who thinks she did her audience a disservice by abandoning those types of works?

Some of these seem like they would be interesting. Not the romance ones but the other ones.
Men show their characters in nothing more clearly than in what they think laughable.

I read Cry to Heaven and Feast of All Saints after I was fairly far into her vamp books. I enjoyed them but given that they were so different from what I was used to by her it was kind of strange. Although I would say Feast of All Saints gave an amazing texture to New Orleans that I really enjoyed.

Hi. I have all of the Vampire books, and the only non-horror book I read was The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy. I really liked it--although it made me blush a few times. Thanks to my English professor mentioning Sleeping Beauty, I would have never searched for these books.
