I know this four-novella set isn't considered as classic as DIFFERENT SEASONS, but I enjoying it so far.

THE LANGOLIERS so far is loads of fun, it reminds me a bit of THE MIST in its structure (a bunch of characters thrown together against some unknown force).

I read SECRET WINDOW a couple of years ago, but I will re-read it with full knowledge of the ending, which should be interesting.

LIBRARY POLICEMAN and SUN DOG I know nothing about.

The Langoliers is definitely a fun, entertaining little horror tale. Kind of Twlight Zone-esque, and I think King handled it very well.

Library Policeman I thought had a great surreal feel to it, Sun Dog was the only one in the collection that left me cold.

Finished up THE LANGOLIERS, which was great fun. The story was actually good enough to fill a novel-length story, IMO.

I hear they made a movie out of this, that almost uses all the dialogue from this story. I'll have to check it out.

As I said on the other thread, the film version of Langoliers--which was a TV miniseries--is a lot of fun for the most part. Some wooden performances, but still entertaining, up until the end when the special effects kill it. I mean, they're bad even by TV standards.

I can't believe that Stephen King allowed that special effects sequence. The Langoliers are supposed to be SCARY, not FUNNY!

There's also a clip of King doing a cameo in that movie, which was pretty lame also.
