A great essay on realism by the one and only OSC. For book lovers.

Oh, this is a great read! Now I don't feel so bad about being the only 40-year old browsing the YA section for fantasy books:)

This is a great essay. Reminds me why I dislike most of what passes for "literary" fiction these days.

That was a very good article. I have a friend that likes Vonnegut but I can't get into it at all nor Palahniuk either.
I've never read Peter Pan! Has anyone here read it?

Why is this thread in the World News section? It doesn't belong here. It should be in the OSC thread.
I'm inclined to believe in parallel worlds filled with dark bound Snow and Odd adventures.

I can relate to this quote from OSC "Whatever principles they are using to sort the books in the book store, it only succeeds in forcing me to walk back and forth all over the place."

I get so mad somtimes and wish it was just all alphabetical by author in the fiction section. I was asking about a Koontz book and the lady told me they have different sections for him in fiction, mystery/thriller, and horror.

I read this article twice, since I read it fast the first time. I really want to read Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie now. I think I've only relied on movies or Disney books for the story like OSC mentioned.
I'm inclined to believe in parallel worlds filled with dark bound Snow and Odd adventures.
