Christ so if we do the split of JUDGMENT and EVIL UNVEILLED ... this BEDLAM thing is also a follow up?!
Cool... that would mean finishing EVIL UNVEILLED won't give me full denouement either... :/ |

Robert McCammon is one of my favorite writers out there, and I think it is a shame he isn't more recognized than he is. His writing is superb, and he crafts some truly beautiful works. My favorites are Boy's Life(not just one of my favorites of his, just one of my favorites PERIOD), Stinger, Speaks the Nightbird, Blue World. I was so excited to learn that a sequel to Speaks the Nightbird is in the offing for later this year.

Oh, and Paolo, there is closure at the end of the second Speaks the Nightbird book. Those two were written as one book then split into two volumes, and at the time he wasn't planning a sequel. My understanding is the sequel is a new adventure for the main character, not a continuation of the one in Speaks the Nightbird.

Under The Fang – Edited by Robert McCammon
1991 “Enter a nightmare realm where vampires rule” A shared-world anthology of seventeen stories set in a near future when vampires have conquered humanity. Introduction by Robert R. McCammon The Miracle Mile by Robert R. McCammon Dancing Nitely by Nancy Collins Stoker's Mistress by Clint Collins Does the Blood Line Run On Time? by Sidney Williams & Robert Petitt Red Eve by Al Sarrantonio We Are Dead Together by Charles de Lint Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage by Chet Williamson Advocates by Suzy McKee Charnas and Chelsea Quinn Yarbro Special by Richard Laymon Herrenrasse by J.N. Williamson Duty by Ed Gorman Midnight Sun by Brian Hodge A Bloodsucker by David N. Meyer III Prodigal Sun by Thomas F. Monteleone There Are No Nightclubs in East Palo Alto by Clifford V. Brooks Juice by Lisa W. Cantrell Behind Enemy Lines by Dan Perez I've highlighted the ones that I thought were the best but in my opinion this book was a huge disappointment and I would recommend foregoing the urge to read it, when theres probably a book on your nightstand that you would enjoy more. I am saddened that this was a collaboration of the HWA (Horror Writers of America)I would have expected so much more from these fine writers. |
