i seriously want to commend donp and say how much i respect i have for him and his discernment when it comes to identifing issues (how ever subtle) and dealing with them in an effective, yet kind, manner.
i am not just referring to his admin duties here with the forums, but especially with his ability to repond to peoples requests for help in solving problems with performance their mopeds etc; don p seems to have an uncanny ability to diagnose problems that are merely alluded to, and he responds without sounding condensending or trying to elevate himself by making the other person appear stupid. i am not a mechanic, nor do i own a moped. but when reading the responses that donp posts, they are written in such a clear and concice manner that i feel inspired, and feel that i could actually do exactly what he is describing. his ability to help is truly an art, and i would encourage him to teach a class at a trade/tech school. don p allows people to benefit themselves and those that have interacted with him are bettered because of it, without apparent gain for himself. why am i writing this??? my philosphy is to point out what is good and comment on it, rather than whine about what is bad. wtg, donp! you don't just rock, you rule! ;) |

you know, it's funny you mention this. my main line of business is in the lawn and garden equipment industry. i do 10 times the lawn mower repair work than i do mopeds. and once a year i teach a service update school for an italian tractor company called BCS. i teach about how to tear down and rebuild the 710-845 tractor transmissions, and the acme engines. BCS by the way stands for Bonetti, Castoldi, and Sperone. that is the last names of the guys who started that company. once again, thanks for the praise and nice things you say. it feels good when someone acknowledges you for the help you offer. |
