I have a Suzuki DR250S Duel Road Dirt Bike (4 stroke). When I start the bike, everything is fine, but when I put the bike into first gear it stalls? What is the problem?

sounds like you need to tighten up the clutch cable some.

Sounds like a good idea, only this is a sporadic thing. It happens only once in a while and then goes away? When I have the bike in first (when it is working properly) and the clutch is in, it does not stall. I'll double check, maybe it needs to be tighten more?

A way to get around it for sure is to warm the bike up in nuetral, then shut down, then shift in first and roll, with the mototr off, then back to nuetral, start up anf then your good to go, shift in 1st and split...my friends bike does the same thing, along with most of the ninja 250s.
