Are we the only ones who read Anne Rice books? Or do people just not have an opinion of her work? I love her books myself. Have you read Tale of the Body Thief, The Mummy or The Feast of All Saints?

There are a couple of other people in the Koontz Forum that said they read her, but I guess none of them are coming here.

Yes I've read all of those. The Feast of All Saints was so different. I mean it was still definitely in the style she writes, but subject matter was so different it was unexpected. I really liked The Mummy and I still hope she makes a sequel. The Tale of the Body Thief is the last of the Vampire Chronicles that revolved around Lestat that I really loved. Memnoch the Devil was interesting but all the theology and his good/evil struggle was just too much for me after awhile.

I USED to read Anne Rice but I am at a point now where she is BORING me to death. She is entirely TOO descriptive. It takes her too long to describe the scene she is laying out for the reader and I loose interest. Sorry, I used to like her when I was younger. Interview was my Fav at that time.

I had my boyfriend read The Mummy, that's kind of what he thought too. Sometimes it gets tiring, but it's kind of refreshing when you read one every once in awhile between books that aren't as descriptive.

I would have to say Memnock The Devil would be my favorite book that I have read.  I love the way it puts a spin on ones view of religion.  A+
