I read False Memory about 4 or 5 months ago, and just finished Odd Thomas(highly recommended). False Memory was so intriguing that it didn't seem as long as it was. I have studied psychology in college and I must say I have never encountered anything as crazy as all the phobias and such. I loved this book! The fabulous details that Koontz puts in his books bring them to life........even if sometimes it scares the sh*t out of you. Marty and Dusty as well as Skeet were such lovable characters and Ahriman such a vile, evil, twisted man....Everybody likes the good verses evil.  Makes for an awesome adventure....on every page. Any other recommendations for favorite books? I like personal opinions.

maria71380,

If you enjoy the Good vs Evil attributes of Koontz's novels, you'd definitely enjoy his recent The Face. It is another account of an absolute anarchical sociopathic character verses the innocence, yet quasi-strength, of a young child. It is another one of my favourite Koontz stories.

***Beware of Spoilers***

This has to be the best Koontz book I've ever read and re-read. It's one of the only books that literally scared the crap out of me. (I was also hesitant about answering the phone after this one). Dr. Ahriman is so evil and twisted you wish you could be the one to finish him off. Masterful story telling and nail biting suspense make it feel like your not even reading a novel. It's like your right there with the charaters, feeling every emotion. I love when Martie freaks out and starts destroying everything in her house because of what she "could" do with them. And from the point where Susan finds out about the rape until her (very chilling) death I was literally screaming at the book. A must read for any book lover.

That's a great quote from the book.

I have about 200 pages left in this 800 page book, and I can already tell it will be one of my favorites.  The writing style is so great.  There is not one bad thing I could write about this book.(so far) Totally enthralling.  I just couldn't wait till I finished the book to post SOMETHING about it!  I'll probably post again when I finish too!

Five Stars       So Far!

I just read this book last week. I really enjoyed it. It was a book that once you started it you had to keep on reading until you finished. So I stayed up half the night reading.
