I wanted to read the root stories so I asked one of our employees, a minister, to borrow a bible. Took me 5 months to read a King James version cover to cover, 1 hour a day. Reading that book changed my life, actually; gave me life.
So cool GeneB. Liked your funny story examples. How about when Jesus calmed the storm. All the guys were in a state of panic and woke up Jesus. I can just imagine Jesus shaking his head in exasperation when he said "You of little faith."

Yeah, that's it; another great example that 1)The Holy Bible is worth reading; and 2)That God in fact has a great sense of humor. He said he made us in His image; and what that means is that we are free-thinking, with imagination, conscience, and humor. Remember that Love is the most important virtue. It's all good. Praise the Lord.

Another great bible song to search out is 'Song of Job' by Seatrain, on the Marble Messenger album. It's another great Peter Rowan song.

JGB's 'Palm Sunday' is another, along with 'Lonesome, and a Long Ways from Home'.
Ask me about DEAN KOONTZ Forum T-shirts. Cool.

I have experienced God's sense of humor directly in my life. He knows when I procrastinate and He communicates to me through my dreams. For example, last year I had a dream which featured two men sitting on a sofa. One says to the other, "Watch this", I think I'll take the dog for a walk." At that moment, a small, yappy dog came bootin' it around the corner and right into the closed door. The two men thought this was great fun. The first man said it again; "I think I'll take the dog for a walk." And the dog once again came rushing around the corner and bumped into the same closed door. They did this three or four times until I woke up pi&$!*g myself laughing. At this point I did get the message.

My "Master" will be taking me for a little walk. I have no idea where He plans to take me, but I must exercise patience. One year later I found myself on a bus, making a trip 6000 miles across the country to God knows what, and to do God knows what. I omly know I must have faith that this was the correct move.

When you are the "Master", you can watch a scene like this over and over and get the same kick out of it every time, but when you are the "dog" it ain't so funny. I have come to appreciate and respect the Lord's rapier wit.
It's so easy, it's right before your eyes. You only need to look through the disguise.

Ok, I have 2 seperate issues with this post.

1. This is a deep thinking forum. Did you not think too deeply during grammar school? Ok. Hang on. Ok, I'm ready....If you would have atleast put a period in there somewhere, it would have helped. I don't care where you put the period, but atleast try it out.

2. Ok. Let me quote you here..."i hurt ppl all day". I don't know what to say. Ok, yes I do. If "ppl", is meant to be "people", then I have a question. I am trying to think of a profession where it would require you to hurt people. Bouncer? No. Loan Shark?. No. Serial Killer? Bingo. My name is Odd Thomas and I live in Pico Mundo. Just incase you come and try to find me, I work as a short order cook. See you soon!
The other night I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out.

I never saw this post..we're getting close to the weird zone now.

It's short for "I hurt to peepee all day." He has a kidney stone. Psychic ultrasonic waves will break them up.

Or if there is blood in the urine he could pee in a cup and drink it...don't need to be psychic to get blood that way.

Odd I had no idea you posted here.

If light pierces the darkness, does darkness pierce the light too? It was in a book I just read and Satan was asking the question.
