Good info Snowman!

Yes, I do like Ender's game enough to keep going with the series. I have quite a few I've picked up along the way when people here started speaking so highly of Card.

I haven't gotten to the Dragon Army part yet.

I love how Ender signed off as God!

Don't worry about A WAR OF GIFTS, it's a short story and I haven't read it yet.

I suggest reading it in the publication order.

That means read the ENDER series, then the SHADOW series.

The ENDER series is more of a family / philosophical epic, with more action towards the end of the series. Not as much action as the first book, but very interesting. I absolutely loved SPEAKER FOR THE DEAD, and thought it came close to the greatness of the first book, though many people don't like it.

If you don't enjoy that series that much, you can still love the other series (SHADOW), which is more action / military oriented, though it does have it's philosophy stuff. ENDER'S SHADOW is like ENDER'S GAME, but from Bean's perspective. I was surprised how well it held up even though you know the events of the book.

There is a new Ender book this November, I would save that for last though.

Thanks a million Chris, I was hoping you'd show up.
I was just wondering if I should read them chronologically or by publication date - I'll go with publication order then.

I loved the part where he hacked into the system and sent messages. I just finished the shower part, I wonder about Petra - friend or foe? I'm sure I'll find out soon. This is very well written stuff. I'm happy I found a new author that I love!

I wonder if GeneB is liking this as much as we are? I guess it's just the three of us reading this.

Let me tell you, you're all missing out on a great read!

I finished it last night and the ending blew me away - WOW!! It is a definite 10/10 book and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

I'd agree with chris' assessment of the two series. They are both good in their own ways. The Ender series is more philosophical and less action oriented.

I'm really loving it, although with my illness and the huge pile of dirt on my driveway, I haven't been reading as much. Pretty tired by the time I get horizontal and am only good for 2-4 pages before watery eyes and nod-off time. I'have a few assorted 'Ender' books I've picked up, but no idea which ones.
BTW...how is the 'publication date' different from 'chronological' order ?????
Ask me about DEAN KOONTZ Forum T-shirts. Cool.
