Very good. Just the right length with plenty of mystery and suspense. There isn't a single boring part in the book. The main characters are fun to read about and the main villian is unforgetable. I love the way Koontz creates his villians, they are so psychotic, but believe themselves to be some kind of leader of a way to a better world. Roy Miro is one my favorites, and *spoiler* he doesn't even die!

This book was brilliant - once again horrifying us with could-be-reality. The main characters were deep and easy to love - the story line deep and easy to love as well. This is definately one of my favorites....

***Spoilers Present***
This book is imposible to put down. It's on the top of my re-read list. It's such a "could happen" book, which is the creepiest part. With top notch villian (I can actually hear The Beatles playing while Roy is killing that couple), and heroes that are so realistist it gives you goose bumps. The satellite zapping everything in the climax is so real your nails will be bleeding. No one but Dean Koontz could orchestrate such a marvelous novel as Dark Rivers. |

This was a great book, I agree. Koontz really has a way of telling a story so its almost like a little movie playing in your head instead of a book in your hands. Spencer is my favorite DK character of all time. Even better than Chris Snow (I thought).

I absolutly love this book. It was the first book I ever read of Dean Koontz, and what a way to start my Dean Koontz infatuation! I have read this book so many times and never get sick of it. It is so fast paced, I agree with christophersnow there is not a boring bit in it. Roy Miro is such a psychotic he keeps you turning that page. The most disturbing part for me is what Roy did to the cop, how unsettling that it could happen to you! Dondola *live to win, dare to fail - J Hetfield* |
