I finished OLYMPOS today. It was wonderful. That was such a great cast of characters. I loved how Simmons wove The Iliad, The Odyssey, The Tempest, Proust, and all the other literary allusions into this great scifi story with Artificial Intelligence, nanotechnology, and quantum physics. I want more.

I was completely thrown off track in one scene at the end where those 2 "kids" were in that car. Ha! I won't go into detail to avoid spoilers. That was so weird in a good way.

Was it true that he was going to write a 3rd book called Olympiad and changed his mind?

These 2 books, THE ILIAD and OLYMPOS, were a very unique reading experience for me.These 2 books, THE ILIAD and OLYMPOS, were a very unique reading experience for me. That was so entertaining. It had everything. I'm still reflecting on all that was covered in these 2 books. Wow. And I know I didn't catch a lot simply because I'm not that well versed in some of this literature.

I've had a great time googling while reading this book. I looked up so many historic sites along with so many other things. I took my time reading it too. I couldn't read it fast because my eyes would glaze over with some of his complex explanations. I'd have to shake my head and read it again but I don't mean that in a negative way.

I devoted almost an entire month to reading The Iliad and Olympos, it was worth it.
I'm inclined to believe in parallel worlds filled with dark bound Snow and Odd adventures.
