I didn't care for DECEPTION POINT that much either. The only Brown books I love are the Langdon novels.

DJT is dead on with his comment of "being better than others best works" I totally agree with that.
I gave both Deception Point and Digital Fortress 9/10 ratings.

I bought Digital Fortress the other day. So I am excited to start it right after I finsih Koontz's new one. I'm pumped about em both.
