Alright, i have heard really amazing things about all three of these books and i am extremly interested in them. One of them has even been said to be "life changing". However so far i keep forgetting to check the bookstores for them, so for one i am wondering which or any of these are relativly easy to find in stores, and which will need to be online purchases. Secondly i am wondering if they live up to the hype/which are the best of the three, etc., and any personal input you have on them as well.

The Shack- William P Young (sounds amazing, supposidly life changing even)
The Story of Edgar Sawtelle- David Wroblewski (this one just sounds right up my alley, i love family sagas and period pieces)
The Shadow of the Wind-Carlos Ruiz Zafon (sounds different and intriguing, but dont know much about him, apparently he has two more books set to come out in 09 and 010)

I appreciate any input you have to offer.

SHADOW OF THE WIND is one of the best books I've read in recent years. I read it at FE's recommendation, he loves the book also. Not life changing, but a great storytelling experience.

STORY OF EDGAR SAWTELLE I've read, and I thought it was just okay. Starts great, kind of drags in the middle, but has a lot of wonderful moments. I disliked the ending for reasons I won't get into, since I don't want to spoil it.

The Shack is a book I've noticed in the stores but haven't really looked at. Seems to have a lot of great reviews on amazon, with some 1 stars thrown in. It seems to be a controversial title with religious overtones. I'll probably be picking it up to see what the hype is about.

Can't say. My guess is the Borders or BN might have 1 or 2 copies.
